Dredd is an upcoming British science fiction action film directed by Pete Travis. It was announced in December 2008 that the production company DNA Films was to make a film adaptation[4][5] of 2000 AD comic book character Judge Dredd[6] and would be unrelated to the 1995 film version.[7] The cast consists of Karl Urban as Judge Dredd and Olivia Thirlby as Judge Anderson.

The future America is an irradiated waste land. On its East Coast, running from Boston to Washington DC, lies Mega City One - a vast, violent metropolis where criminals rule the chaotic streets. The only force of order lies with the urban cops called "Judges" who possess the combined powers of judge, jury and instant executioner.
