The Darkest Hour (2011) is a 2011 Russian-American science fiction thriller film directed by Chris Gorak and produced by Timur Bekmambetov.The Darkest Hour (2011), The American-based production depicts an alien invasion and stars Emile Hirsch, Max Minghella, Olivia Thirlby, Joel Kinnaman and Rachael Taylor as a group of people caught in the invasion. However, their Swedish partner Skyler pulls a fast one on Sean and Ben, and they are out of the business. Out of the blue, the population is surprised by lights, which they mistake for natural phenomena.
